Remember that table tennis themed arcade game Pong, back in like 1970s? Try building a basic version of that, if you've already built mini tennis then this is basically mini tennis with two people. It'll be a little more challenging as you'll have to allow for two controls for two human players but also allow for player vs computer.  

# Introduction
Develop a 2D game in either java, python, c++ or any other language that you are comfortable with making games in, this game will be a basic clone of Pong. There will be a need for two paddles on either side of the game, one on the West side and one on the East, each paddle will defend itself against a ball. This ball will random start from the middle and shoot off to either side randomly and the player will need to ping it back with the objective of hitting the other sides wall. Each time a player hits the opponents wall, that player will earn a point, have the game go to a best of 5 or give options to choose how many points to go up to. Also allow single mode gameplay, where you can play against a computer and potentially varying difficulty levels.

## Requirements
* Use a programming language, can be any of the recommended ones, or one of your preference
* Allow two players (paddles), with one to the West side of the game and the other on the East
* Add a ball for the player to hit with their paddle
* Allow for a scoring system between each player, which increments based on the opponent hitting the ball on the other side

## Optional Requirements
* Allow for single player mode, where it's a human vs computer and a hiscore system
* Create multiplayer mode over the internet
* Add skins and theming system for different backgrounds, paddles and balls.

Develop a pong game

Tennis is a fun sport and even more fun when you play with others, however it can take some time and sometimes you just want to quickly play the game without all that setup. I would like you to  build a game like this for the computer with any language of your choice, from java, python, c++, etc.

# Introduction
I would like you to build a mini tennis game, where the player has a paddle and a ball and the ball just bounces off the wall and the player needs to hit the ball and not let it fall on the ground below the paddle. If the ball falls below the paddle then the player loses the game, however if the player hits the ball then the players score counts up from 0 and increments every time it is hit. Sort of like real life single player tennis, where you would hit the ball onto a wall and count every time you hit the ball, if you drop it or miss then you reset your count. 

## Requirements
* Desktop application with a guided user interface (GUI)
* Ball that bounces off the sides of the walls, left wall, right wall and ceiling.
* Paddle that the player can control which the ball can also bounce off
* If the ball hits the paddle, the players score goes up by 1
* If the ball drops down onto the ground below the paddle, the player loses the game

* Hiscore on the main menu before the game starts
* Multiplayer functionality, where players can compete with each other for higher scores

Build a mini tennis game

Mathematics is all around us and some of us maybe all of us, disliked it during our school days, but luckily we had calculators which definitely saved me during exams. However, calculators are bulky and doesn't make sense to carry them with us everywhere when we have laptops and mobile phones.

# Introduction
Please develop a calculator application on the desktop using either python or java that can handle addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and other mathematical operators. I would like this as a desktop application first, as I take my laptop around everywhere more than my phone and my laptops calculator is broken and useless anyways. If you can, try to use a guided user interface (GUI), that way I don't need to mess around with any terminals, but anything that will let me calculate maths is fine.

# Introduction
Everyone wishes to be taken out every now and then but creating the perfect date can be so hard. Not knowing where to go, where the best places are and definitely finding a good place to get some grub. 

I would like you to create a all in one mobile application that allows you to search for the type of date, the theme such as a picnic date and also being able to see which places are near by like hotels and restaurants! This project will require you to be creative with date ideas; incorporating themes and an aesthetic to this mobile app, being able to capture keywords when searched and also being able to save all these ideas for later! Here are two examples I would like it to look like:

An app that suggests locations for romantic dates

Develop a mobile application that will follow the rules of the Blackjack card game where the player and dealer is both given two random cards and the objective of the player is to get a perfect 21 or higher than the dealer.


# Introduction
Card games are extremely popular, however the disadvantage is you need to carry a deck of cards with you whenever you want to player them, this can be tedious as you can forget the cards, or misplace them or damage them. If only there was an item that we carried almost all the time and would be able to any card game, any time. Oh right, there is, our mobile phones, I would like you to develop a mobile application with React Native or any other to build the Blackjack card game also known as twenty ones (21's).

 # Blackjack Rules

1. Both the player and dealer are given two random cards
2. The dealer must give themselves and the player the cards in rotation, i.e. one to dealer then player then repeat
3. The players cards must be faced up showing the values, the dealers card should be 1 face down and 1 face up
4. The players objective is to get a perfect 21 or a value higher than the dealer
5. The player can get another card (hit) to increase their score or double down to get two cards
6. If the player holds (stand) and the dealers value is less than the players, then the dealer must keep hitting till the dealer has a higher score or is bust
7. Getting a value higher than 21 is a bust, i.e. 22 or more

Seeking development of the Blackjack card game

We are a London based 5 star luxury hotel bringing in clients all around the world with a variety of different cultures, and we would like a website for our customers to book rooms in our hotel. As of right now, we have a manual system of taking phone calls, but have been backed up with thousands of requests a day. We would need this system to be able to handle thousands requests and allow for authentication, bookings, payments, etc.

# A little more about what we want
The hotel is based in a popular area of London, and for that we would need a nice and flashy website that is quick to load for users and the website would need to be able to be easily searchable with top google results. The customers would need to be able to contact us in case of any issues, so something like a contact us page or live chat would be desirable. As we're going to take in a lot of requests, we are concerned about the website going down and losing out on potential customers for hours or days. We'd also like an about page with information about the hotel and our team that makes it all possible.

London's newest hotel needs a booking website

So far you have built us databases, a web scraping bot and an API, now we need to combine all of these and pull the data into a dashboard, specifically to show insights on our COVID-19 data. We would like you to use HTML, CSS & JavaScript and ideally if you are adventurous enough, a web framework would be ideal too. We need a web dashboard that will connect to our API to show our COVID-19 data in real-time to our staff members specifically, this dashboard cannot be public to everyone, which means a sign-in or form of authentication will be required. We would like it built in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but a framework of your choice can also be used. The dashboard should be responsive and work on all devices, as we would like our executives to see the data while on the move too.

As a company, we have data coming through day by day and we are currently unable to view this data in an insightful way, for that reason we need a way to show our data. We would like a dashboard mocked up in Adobe XD and possibly in HTML and CSS just to show us how the dashboard would look. It does not need to be connect to any data and mock data can be used, no JavaScript is needed for this but a bonus if you do add it.

We have been working on improving our database by moving it from Excel to a SQL and/or NoSQL database and now we need to be able to efficiently search through our data on other applications. The use of an Application Programming Interface (API) sounds very good, as it can allow us to make requests on any type of front-end and still connect to our database without any heavy duty front-end lifting.

# Introduction
We've been rebuilding our data structure by first moving our data from Excel to MySQL and MongoDB, and then we built a web scraping tool in Python to collect COVID-19 data periodically and store it within our databases real-time. Now we would like you to build us an API ideally using Node.js, however any programming language can be used also, like Java, etc. This API would need to connect to our database and retrieve information such as paginated COVID-19 results, top N countries with COVID-19, etc.

## Requirements
* Develop an API using Node.js or another form of programming language
* The API will need to allow for the following requests:

  * Retrieve all COVID-19 results with pagination
  * Allow the COVID-19 data to be queried with key words and countries
  * Top N results of countries with COVID-19, default to top 10 but let query parameters decide the N amount

Develop an API that exposes our COVID-19 data

As the year of 2020 is over and 2021 has come, our data we currently have for COVID-19 is for 2020 and we need new data from 2021 and onwards and to achieve this we will need a web scraper. Our current way of retrieving data, is to download it from the U.K. governments coronavirus data website, [here](https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/).

# Problem
The current issue, is we are collecting COVID-19 data manually and only from a single source, which could lead to incorrect data and/or reliance upon an incorrect source that might be misleading the general population. We need a way of automatically collecting this data, from multiple sources ideally however a single source is fine for now and we will need to save this data directly into our SQL and NoSQL databases.


## Solution
We have heard of companies using something called a Web Scraper which automatically scrapes specific web URL's for data, which can be processed and saved as required. This tool sounds extremely useful, however we are not technically skilled enough to build one, but have heard that [Python](https://www.python.org/) is a good choice for this. We would want our web scraper to collect COVID-19 data from multiple URL's, crosscheck them for the correct data, then to save it directly into either our MySQL or MongoDB database, can be both or just one. This web scraping process should twice run every day at 6:00 AM and 11:59 PM, GMT U.K. time, this should give us good coverage for a days analysis.

Web scrape COVID-19 data using Python

COVID-19 has led to a devastating pandemic all across the world, and we currently have been able to gather data from January 2020 to December 2020 and the goal of our team is to analyse the data to prevent another pandemic in the future. However, our senior data engineer has resigned and he was a specialist in Excel, which we store all our data and we would like to migrate our Excel data to another database.

# Requirements
We've realised the slow tendencies of Excel and to complete our tasks, we will need to move to another database, possibly SQL or NoSQL, but we have no technical experience. We need your help to build us two databases, one in SQL and another in NoSQL, then you will need to move the data from Excel, into both databases.

The reason we are choosing both databases, is so we can experiment with both and understand which would suit our needs. We have done basic research and believe the following two databases would be a good start:
